Where is PicnicSunday based?

We currently live in Pittsburgh, USA but PicnicSunday Vintage is based in sunny Singapore. All items are shipped from Singapore and we will attend a local flea (come and say hi!) from time to time when we are back home! Follow us on facebook or join the mailing list (sidebar) to know when that happens!






What is vintage clothing?

Vintage clothing are unique, one-of-a-kind pieces that belong to a previous era. There are various definitions of vintage clothing, generally defining vintage clothing as clothing that are more than 15-20 years old. We specially look for certain styles, cuts and prints, and our vintage pieces can be from the 1940s all the way up to the 1990s! Each piece has their own unique history, and some pieces may be unworn with tags while others are preloved.



We wash and stain treat every piece of clothing listed and provide accurate descriptions of any flaws (stains, furring, mended holes etc.) when they are any and will also price accordingly to condition.



When buying vintage, it's recommended to look at it with an editing eye, as many of these old pieces may be too long, have long sleeves or a bit big here and there. I usually buy pieces which I tailor after to my liking!





Where are your vintage pieces from?

We mostly get our items while travelling the globe, looking out for interesting or unique items for the shop. Now that we are living in the states, we spend our free days scouring for beautiful retro pieces here and on our travels here as well.






Are your vintage items washed/cleaned?

All our vintage items have been hand washed and spot cleaned. If we are unable to remove any spots/stains, we will list them in our product page and price them accordingly.

Generally, it is recommended that you handwash all vintage items bought from us (unless otherwise stated in labels). To be extra careful with more delicate pieces, handwash cold, and do not soak and do not tumble dry.

Some of the older-era pieces have unfinished seams on the inside on the garment, and they cannot be tumbled or spin-dried. Handwash cold with gentle detergent, rinse and wring gently or hang to dry wet. If you have any specific or additional questions, contact us.






How do you rate the condition of the dress?

At PicnicSunday Vintage, we will rate each item as Excellent, Good or Worn condition on the Product page.

Excellent means no huge flaws and almost no stains. It may have slight flaws/small stain(s) that do not affect the wearability of the piece. It may have slight furring of the material. Any flaws would be listed under notes.



Good means no huge flaws. It may have slight discolouring or stains which are not noticeable overall, and will be listed in notes. It may have furring of the material or the material may feel less than newish. All this and any flaws will be listed under notes.



Worn means there may be minor to noticeable flaws. Usually, it will feel more 'worn' overall. And flaws would be listed in notes.

Do you have sizes? And can I see a measurement guide?

As each piece is unique and one-off. We do not have standard sizes listed, instead, please refer to the measurements given for each item.

All measurements are taken of the garment lying flat and one side unless otherwise stated, so multiply x2 for the all around measurements. However, we recommend taking the measurements of a skirt/dress/top/clothing that you own that fits you well and comparing with our measurements to see if it would fit you. Do refer to the image below for how measurements are taken:

How do I order?

Shop around and when you see something you fancy, click the button "Add to Cart". You may continue shopping or check out. When ready to check out, click your cart, and follow the instructions.

If you would like, you can order by emailing weiling[at]picnicsunday[dot]com and telling us what items you want, and we will reserve the item for you for 48 hours, and await payment via local ATM or bank transfer from you. We will only reserve items if you are going to purchase it, please do not reserve items if you do not intend to buy it. We appreciate your understanding.






What payment methods do you accept?

We accept VISA, Mastercard and American Express via Paypal as well as normal paypal payments. You will be brought to the paypal site upon checkout. However, if you are from Singapore and would like to use an online bank (POSB/DBS or other banks) transfer, do email us at weiling[at]picnicsunday[dot]com to tell us which item you would like to buy and we can give further instruction on how to pay via bank transfers to our POSB account while we hold the item for you. We will only hold your item for 48 hours pending your payment. I apologise in advance if your item is sold before I process your email.






What is your returns and exchange policy?

Please note that the general policy is that items are sold as-is and are not refundable and not returnable. It is important to remember that vintage clothing is often pre-loved and in second hand condition, meaning minor signs of wear and tear are to be expected. Please check the measurements and read descriptions before purchasing. Also, feel free to ask us questions at weiling[at]picnicsunday[dot]com for more information about any particular piece.

However, refunds/store credit be granted in the case of gross misinterpretation or in the circumstance where a fault has been overlooked. Picnic Sunday does not give refunds for 'wrong fit' or change of mind. If it is agreed via email that you are to return the item, the customer bears the return shipping and will only be refunded/given store credit when the item is received.

But really, don't fret ;) Do feel free to email, and we can sort things out if there are any issues with the item you've purchased, and will be judged on a case by case basis for refunds/store credit. Thanks!






What are your postage charges?

For local/Singapore customers: We send all parcels by registered mail by default to prevent any loss of packages sent via normal mail. All registered parcels comes with tracking numbers so customers can track their parcels, the tracking number will be emailed to you the same day your order is sent.

We now also offer SmartPac delivery at the same cost, it has tracking but no insurance (compared to Registered Mail), but will not require someone to sign for it and will be left in your mailbox.

Postage will be added to your order of SGD$4 for the first item and, SGD$2 for each additional item. So, for example if you buy 3 dresses you will be charged $4 + $2 + $2 = SGD$8 for postage.



For international customers:
Clothes will be sent via SingPost Airmail Registered. First item (Less than 500 grams) at SGD$20, and SGD$10 for each additional item. So, for example if you buy 3 dresses you will be charged $20 + $10 + $10 = SGD$40 for postage.

For items that weigh more than 500 grams, the postage will be calculated accordingly (you will see the amount when added to cart and checking out, if you are still unsure, DM us on instagram or email us!).

If ordering via online cart, this amount will be charged first and the excess paid for shipping (if more than $2) will be refunded after your order has been mailed out!




Overall, if actual shipping costs much less than the shipping charged, the remainder will be refunded to the buyer after the package has been sent. For a custom shipping quote/arrangement, please email us at weiling[at]picnicsunday[dot]com or contact us via this easy form here to make an order.


PicnicSunday is not responsible for any lost packages/mail. I will send you the registered or tracking number when mailed out.






International: Will there be customs fees applied to my international order?

International orders may have additional fees applied to them by the receiving country's (your country's) customs agency. Unfortunately, the customer bears the responsibility of whether there are fees and the cost of it. To learn more about your country's customs fees and any other import duties/taxes, we recommend contacting your country's customs agency.






When would you mail my order?

We will make a mail run once every week, so your order will reach the post office in in a maximum of 7 days. We will email you once its been mailed.
